Birth Workers + Educators

Supporting the People Who Care for Our Communities

Strong systems of care require supported care workers. BEE in partnership with the Southern BEE Alliance Cooperative invests in birthworkers through training, mentorship, professional development, healing-centered learning, and pathways toward greater economic and collective power.

BEE invests in the people who care for families. Explore community-based doula training, mentorship, professional development, cooperative opportunities, educator learning, and spaces designed to sustain care workers.

Early Educator Learning — Nurturing Freedom

Training and professional learning for educators and organizations interested in culturally grounded, African-centered approaches to early learning that affirm children’s dignity, identity, joy, and belonging.

Coalition + Community Leadership Training

BEE supports parents, care workers, and community leaders to build the skills and relationships needed to participate in coalitions and shape the systems affecting children and families. Learning opportunities include community organizing, storytelling and narrative change, advocacy, policy education, research and community engagement, leadership development, and building collective power.

This work grows from BEE’s organizing around birth justice, preschool pushout, child care access and affordability, care-worker compensation, and birthworker workforce policy.
