Birth DoulaStephanie was born in Charleston and raised between N. Charleston SC and Wilmington NC. She’s a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Stephanie has always had an admiration for midwives and birth workers. Her parents along with aunts and uncles from both sides of her family were delivered by midwives.
Hearing those stories, along with being present during the birth of her niece, inspired a desire to learn more about birthing through the lens of community and tradition. Stephanie is the mom of a beautiful and lively four year old Xolani, who has taught Stephanie so many new lessons about parenthood.
